This table and chair set definitely needed a makeover and what better way to do it than with CeCe Caldwell paint. I absolutely love this paint! If you haven't heard of it, check 'em out! It is all natural, eco-friendly, mineral based, no voc chalk and clay paint. And, no, I am not making anything off of this post and they did not ask me to write about them. I really just love the paint that much!
I painted the table Pittsburgh Gray, applied clear wax, then light aging wax and then applied their new product, Satin Finish and it looks amazing! I also did some distressing in just a few areas so it brings out the natural wood color a little bit. It turned out to be a great gray-brown. Then, I painted the chairs Santa Fe Turquoise and applied the clear wax. I recovered the seat cushions with a white and yellow chevron fabric. Pictures? Oh ya, here they are!
Without the leaf...perfect for a nook.
I hope someone will love this as much as I do, because as much as I want to keep this, I already have a great set and do not have room for another! This table is listed on Etsy here. For now this is where I'll be listing my items. Until then I hope to join a couple of the local markets in the fall and display some of my items there. In my dreams I have my own store one day where I can sell CeCe's paints and help people find the perfect piece for their home. Oh, and I'm calling this little adventure "business" of mine The Driftwood Cottage, hence the blog name.
UPDATE: This table sold and will be picked up by its new owners this Saturday!!
If anyone reads this, tell me what you think! :)
